New brooms sweep clean!
At the end of August, five new apprentices were
presented
with personalised
brooms to mark the
start of their training
with the progressive
aerospace
engineering company,
Impcross Limited.
As part of Impcross’s development of it’s workforce,
the
recruitment
of Apprentices is to fulfil future needs
in the
demanding aerospace and F1
engineering
markets.
The Apprentice and Advanced Apprentice schemes
are
being run in conjunction
with Gloscat utilising the
facilities
at their Engineering and Technology
Centre.
The Apprentices spend two days a week at Gloscat studying academic subjects
and basic engineering training, the remainder of their time being spent at
Impcross gaining experience in many areas of company operations.
Completion of the apprenticeships will give qualifications in various areas
with awards in Key Skills, NVQ, City and Guilds and BTEC.
As expected, competition for the five positions at Impcross was very keen,
with the applicants hoping to gain the unequalled opportunity to train and
work in this ever expanding company with it’s reputation for first
class engineering skills.
Leaning on their brooms in front of Impcross’s latest Matsuura 630
CNC Machining Centre are (l to r) Zac Jones, Hayley Green,
Kristian Pugh, Marc McDonagh and Mitchell Saunders.
Impcross Limited are located in Thrupp, Stroud, Gloucestershire, and are
superbly equipped with state-of-the-art 3-, 4- and 5-Axis CNC Machining Centres,
the latest CNC Turning Centres and CNC Grinding machines.
